The Domaine du Tariquet has always been an Armagnac producer. Jean-Pierre Artaud is the founder of the domaine, later succeeded by his son-in-law Pierre Grassa. His son Yves gave the impetus to the modernization of the wines, by also making dry white wines from 1982 onwards. Founded in 1912 by Hélène and Pierre Grassa, Domaine Tariquet is a leading family-owned business in the Gascony region of France. In 1982, their children, Maité and Yves, released the first Domaine du Tariquet wine, transforming traditional viticulture with innovative blends of chenin blanc, chardonnay, gros manseng and ugni blanc.

The winery also stands out for its strong commitment to sustainability, with ecological methods that create a harmony between people, nature, and wine. This focus on quality and respect for the environment has led to international recognition, including the title of Winemaker of the Year for Yves Grassa in 1987. Today, Yves' sons, Armin and Rémy, continue the legacy, striving for excellence in every bottle of Domaine Tariquet wine. With the same passion and dedication as their predecessors, they strive to maintain the highest quality standards in every glass of Domaine Tariquet wine. Father Pierre never imagined that this turnaround would be such a success. Currently, the Grassa family is one of the largest producers in the Sud Ouest.
