Clos du Clocher was founded in 1924 by André Audy. The domain has remained in the family ever since and is currently managed by the founder's descendants. The wine estate is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, close to some of the most prestigious wineries in the region, such as Château Pétrus and Château La Fleur-Pétrus.

Clos du Clocher is a small, exclusive winery. This relatively small château under the old bell tower (cloche) of the village of Pomerol has its origins in 1924; relatively young for a centuries-old wine region. The Clos du Clocher vineyards cover approximately 5.9 hectares and are located on a plateau with clay and gravel soils. These soils are ideal for growing Merlot, the dominant grape variety in Pomerol. The vineyards are mainly planted with Merlot (about 70%), supplemented with Cabernet Franc (about 30%). The vines have an average age of 30 to 40 years. The grapes are harvested by hand and strictly selected to ensure the highest quality. Vinification takes place in concrete and stainless steel tanks, where temperature control is crucial to ensure proper extraction and fermentation. The wine matures for 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new.
