De 2014s van Domaine d'Eugenie volgen een vergelijkbaar patroon als de 2013s. Er wordt duidelijk alles aan gedaan om geweldige wijnen te maken van deze gunstige wijngaarden.
Clos de Vougeot is een van de oudste Clos in Bourgogne en d'Eugénie heeft hier 1.37 hectare. De wijnstokken van d'Eugénie liggen aan het hoogste gedeelte naast het chateau. De stokken hier zijn rond de 60 jaar oud. De grond houdt veel klei en kalksteen en de diepere grond meer klei slib. Het is een volle, multidimensionale wijn met een goede concentratie, sappige zuren en rijke maar satijnachtige tannines die eindigen met een lange en mooi gedefinieerde afdronk. Dit is een veelbelovende wijn van Domaine d'Eugénie die altijd hoog in de scores valt.

Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru from Domaine d'Eugenie certainly has one of the more sophisticated and nuanced aromatics among its peers: pure red fruit, mineral, neatly integrated oak, just a hint of rose petal emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, seductive core of red fruit. It is silky in texture and the acidity well judged with a caressing finish, although it begins to pall after a while and just feels as if it needs another trick up its sleeve. It starts really promising, up there with Etienne Grivot's Clos de Vougeot, but then does not follow through. That said, it is still a very commendable wine. Tasted September 2017.

Good dark red Cool, youthfully inexpressive nose dominated by black cherry and smoky minerality; the strictest of these 2014s today (Mallard described it as Cistercian) Densely packed and very rich but classically dry, with savory minerality currently holding the upper hand over the wine's fruit This extremely backward wine is also showing its new oak element (85%) in the early going, with the firmly tannic finish displaying a note of caramel along with a strong impression of saline dry extract Today it's the Grands-Echézeaux that sings

The high quality and essential harmoniousness of Domaine d’Eugénie is particularly remarkable considering how much sorting of the fruit was necessary in the vineyards In addition to their normal green harvest at the end of July, the estate did a major pass through the vines in early September to eliminate grapes affected by rot, hail and the Drosophila suzukii, as well as berries that had been burned by the sun during a heat spike in mid-July Winemaker Michel Mallard told me that the finished 2014s remind him of his 2011s “They’re expressive, fresh and mouthwatering wines,” he said The bottling took place between December of 2015 and May of 2016
