Barbadillo

Barbadillo is, without a doubt, both the largest and the most important bodega of Sanlucar de Barrameda. Founded in 1821 by Benigno Barbadillo, the company is still owned by the seventh generation of the Barbadillo family. The company has also expanded, not only within the Jerez. It employs 300 people and their wines are available in 39 different countries. In Jerez they own 500 hectares of vineyards. People are still constantly innovating and experimenting. Since recently they bottled 4 times a year and on the bottle you can see the year and seasons of the bottling. The majority are their (quality) entry-level models on which the year is stated, and they also have very exclusive models, the highlight of which is the exclusive Reliquia, made from wines of an average age of 80 to 100 years.
