Pecorino is a white grape variety, originally from the Marche region. The grape had all but disappeared for wine production in the 1980s. In those years, Guido Cocci Grifoni started a major project to turn the almost disappeared Pecorino grape into a "great white wine". After this, the Pecorino wine took off again. Many producers in the Marches and Abruzzo also started making a Pecorino wine again.

What does wine from the Pecorino grape taste like?

On the nose, a fresh and lively bouquet of freshly picked lemon fruit, a hint of anise and fennel. On the palate, the wine is rich, full-bodied, complex, lots of wine, with a delicious freshness of green apple and lemon.
