Lacrima

The Lacrima grape is a blue grape from Italy. This grape variety is quite rare and unknown. As far as we know, this grape only grows around the town of Morro ́Alba in the Marche region. About 30 years ago, the Lacrima was almost extinct, but now it is making a modest comeback.

What does wine from the Lacrima grape taste like?

The Lacrima grape provides aromatic, floral, red wines in which the scents of violets, strawberries and raspberries are clearly recognizable. The wines are dark red with light purple nuances. The wines are usually fresh and floral, have a rich aftertaste and are drunk young.
