Can Grandcruwijnen deliver the wines to companies without excise duty?

We can deliver to EU companies without excise duty by means of a Guided Document (VGB). We deliver the wine in which we have paid the NL excise duty and these are therefore settled (so delivery takes place with prices including excise duty). A VGB document is therefore included in the delivery.

With this document, the customer can pay the excise duty in the country concerned and then have it signed off by Customs. If we receive a stamped VGB document back, we will refund the excise duty paid to us to the account of the customer. It is important to mention that the lead time for these orders is slightly longer because we have to prepare a VGB document for each shipment.

We are a company outside the Netherlands but within the EU and want delivery without Dutch VAT.

If you have a company located abroad (EU), you can place your order without any problem. During registration, in addition to all NAW information, you also enter your VAT number. The VAT is checked online, and if confirmed, you can place the order with no VAT charged. Due to this Intra-Community delivery with reduced VAT, you are obliged to pay the VAT within your own country. Note: you must enter the VAT number without the country code.

Can you handle delivery of wines to the UK after Brexit

Grandcruwijnen has an export/import license and can also deliver to a non-EU country such as the UK. It means that you can simply order your wines which we will ship via PostNL. We will add to the package a CN23 document in which we describe the content of the package such as alcohol percentage, duty codes, region, etc

The final delivery in the UK will be done by Hermes or Yodel and based on the custom documentation the customer has to pay to the courier the custom/excise duty. In the checkout we explicitely will mention that the custom payment needs to be done at the frontdoor. As in all non-EU countries this needs to be done at the final delivery and cannot be done by us. If not paid the package cannot be delivered and we cannot take any responsbility for that.

In order to have an idea about the duty cost see below some examples which will give a clear idea on the custom taxes.

We are seeing your wines on Winebuyers. Are you selling via that platform?

We are not selling our wines via Winebuyers platform. We have done this in the paste but they have proven to be unreliable to us and their customers. They are still using a very outdated feed from us so you might have the impression that the wines are still available but this is NOT true. We are not accepting order which are coming via the Winebuyers platform.
