Coravin vervangings naald (premium)

The Coravin system makes it possible to pour a glass of wine without uncorking the bottle. The wine that remains in the bottle retains its quality and can be stored for years without losing taste.

The Premium Needle allows for smoother casting than the original standard needle, in addition, the design of a pattern of many small openings has shown that the amount of natural cork fragments is significantly reduced. The Premium Needle combines the softness of the Vintage needle and the speed of the Fast Pour needle for an even more wonderful wine experience.

The noble argon gas (prevents oxidation) is 'injected' into the bottle by means of a stainless steel Teflon® coated needle that passes through the cork. This creates pressure, so that the wine is 'pushed' out of the bottle by the same needle. Any oxygen that wants to enter the bottle is held back by the argon, which is heavier than oxygen. By not removing the cork from the bottle, the wine can continue to develop, which would normally oxidize once poured.

Thanks to the Coravin, the quality of the wine is therefore preserved and special wines - which usually remain in the wine cellar for a long time - can simply be served by the glass. The bottle remains unopened and unaffected, but can be drunk.
