Château Talbot owes its name to the heroic English commander Connetable Talbot, who died at the Battle of Castillon in 1453. The largest and one of the oldest Châteaus in Saint Julien, it is ideally situated a short distance from the Gironde, where the vineyards lie on a fine gravel surface and produce one of the most beautiful red wines of Saint Julien.

The Caillou Blanc de Talbot 2023 shows a fresh, delicate bouquet of lemon, lemon oil, grapefruit, herbs and spring flowers. Medium-bodied, lean and fruity, long with an elegant fruit core and a delicious, slightly phenolic finish. This is a blend of 71% Sauvignon Blanc and 29% Sémillon.

Château Talbot winery takes its name from the heroic English commander Connetable Talbot, who died in 1453 at the Battle of Castillon. The largest and one of the oldest Château of Saint Julien, is ideally located a short distance from the Gironde, where the vineyards are on a fine pebble ground and produce one of the finest red wines of Saint Julien. The Château has belonged to the Cordier family since 1917. Several generations of this family show that they realize the importance of quality. Traditional and modern methods are used side by side. The interaction between man and nature and an age-old knowledge of this excellent terroir, produce a different wine every year, but a wine that is certainly complex and beautifully balanced.
