2022 Kruger Family Wines Chenin Blanc Old Vines

A characterful Chenin Blanc from old vines, with tension, depth and refined South African freshness.

The grapes come from old bush vines with low yields, which ensures concentration and structure. Vinification focuses on preserving terroir expression, with spontaneous fermentation and an aging process that supports the texture without dominating the fruit. The 2022 vintage is characterized by good ripeness and natural acidity, resulting in a balanced and energetic wine.

Color, smell and taste

In the glass, the wine displays a bright, light yellow color. The nose opens with ripe pear, citrus zest, and subtle floral notes, complemented by a light spice and a hint of honey. On the palate, the wine combines ripeness with fresh acidity and a refined minerality. The texture is slightly creamy yet taut, with a long, clean finish that emphasizes tension and elegance.
