The Primitivo grapes for this Cignomoro Primitivo di Manduria are hand-harvested. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Maceration takes place in steel tanks and barriques. The wine is further aged in French barriques: 65% new and 35% used. The Cignomoro Primitivo di Manduria is a 100% Primitivo. The wine has an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals complex aromas of black fruit and hints of minerals that burst from the glass. On the palate, it is an impressive wine with warmth, depth, and a long finish.
