Description
The Chardonny grapes for this Chardonaay from Lievland are destemmed, cooled and softly pressed after picking. The fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks with as little contact with oxygen as possible. This benefits the fragrance and freshness. After a few months of maturation (sur lie) on the fine sediment of inactive yeast cells, the wine is clarified and filtered.
The Chardonnay from Lievland Vineyards is an almost French-like chardonnay. It is a delicious fresh and juicy wine, without wood ageing. On the nose the fresh aromas of lime, some riper yellow fruit and nuts. The nice fresh acidity in the mouth provides a very pleasant aftertaste. Great as a glass to enjoy stand-alone and delicious with various fish dishes, Dutch shrimps or with white meat such as veal and chicken.
