Château Latour à Pomerol is a leading wine estate in the Pomerol appellation, located on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. The château takes its name from the characteristic tower that adorns the elegant building. In 1917, the property was acquired by Madame Edmond Loubat, who at the time was also the owner of the famous Château Pétrus. Since 1962, the estate has been managed by Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix, a renowned wine merchant specializing in the wines of the right bank of Bordeaux. In 2024, the Château officially became the property of the Moueix family (including Petrus), who had been involved in the management of the estate since 1962.

The estate covers approximately 8 hectares, planted almost exclusively with Merlot grapes and a tiny bit of Cabernet Franc. The vineyard is characterised by a diversity of soils: two thirds are deep gravel and clay soils, while the remainder is clay and loam soils. This variation contributes to the complexity and depth of the wines produced. The wines of Château Latour à Pomerol are vinified in concrete vats and then matured in oak barrels. The result is a generous, concentrated wine that combines elegance and power. The Château produces only a Grand Vin and has no second wine, emphasising the focus on quality.
