The 2020 vintage was an excellent vintage in La Ribera del Duero. A mild and rainy winter gave way to a mild spring that caused very rapid growth of vegetation, and finally the warm and dry summer delayed the ripening of the grapes, except in the oldest vineyards with great root depth. The Casa Rojo Tintofina is a 100% Tempranillo or a Tinto Fino coming from old vineyards located in Villálvaro, Sotillo de la Ribera, Moradillo, Hontoria, Peñafiel, Quintana del Pidio, Anguix and Curiel de Duero. The average altitude of the vineyards is 850 to 900 meters, all in Burgos and Valladolid and the vines are all old to very old (from 35 to 100 years old). The wines mature/age for around 1.5 years in French oak and are then bottle-aged for several months before reaching the global market.

The Tinta Fina was launched in 2022 and is the opposite of the flagship MachoMan. Opposites always attract and that is the slogan of Casa Rojos: Unite the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean .

The Casa Rojo Tintofino is a powerful Ribera del Duero and has a beautiful ruby red color in the glass, with garnet red shades on the edge of the glass. The nose is very expressive, with intense aromas of wild blackberries and blackcurrants, with hints of aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage, enveloped in elegant aromas of cedar wood, leather, cloves and toast, from the maturation in French oak barrels. On the palate it is fleshy, powerful, with good structure and elegant tannin, with a long, balanced and harmonious finish.
