In 2018, Patrick made way for BenoƮt to manage the Domaine de la Pousse D'Or. Also an engineer by training, he shares the same vision of quality and wishes to continue this process of striving for excellence! At ease with the language of Shakespeare, he travels the world with an approach that aims to share his passion for great Burgundy wines all over the world! Vines grown in biodynamic conditions, vinification using slow and natural methods, wines aged on the lees for 18 months, 12 of which in oak barrels, a constant and rigorous quality of work, give the Pousse d'Or wines a great predisposition to ageing.

The Domaine de La Pousse d'Or is distinguished by its 7 Grands Crus, 11 Premier Crus including 3 monopoles, in the CƓte de Beaune and CƓte de Nuits. Offering the purest expression of our exceptional terrois has been the Domaine's obsession for centuries. Today, our biodynamic work in the vines, the long and gentle controlled vinification, accompanied by maturing on the lees, contribute to respecting the exceptional balance and richness of the unique Pinot Noir grape varieties for the red wines and Chardonnay for the white wines, worked by the women and men of Domaine de la Pousse d'Or. The plots, representing approximately 17 hectares of vineyards, are located in the villages of Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Flagey-AchƩzeaux, Aloxe-Corton, Pommard, Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay.

'Le Cailleret' is one of the most prestigious Premier Cru vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, directly adjacent to the famous Grand Cru 'Le Montrachet'. The vineyard has an east-southeast orientation, which ensures optimal sun exposure. The name 'Cailleret' refers to the stony, chalky soil that contributes to the minerality and finesse of the wine.
Tasting notes:

The 2019 La Pousse d'Or Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Clos Le Cailleret has a bright golden yellow color with green reflections. On the nose aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and subtle notes of honey and minerals. On the palate the wine is elegant and balanced, with flavors of ripe apple, pear and a hint of vanilla, supported by a lively acidity and a pronounced minerality. The finish is long and refined, with lingering notes of citrus and a salty minerality.
