In 2018, Patrick made way for Benoît to manage the Domaine de la Pousse D'Or. Also an engineer by training, he shares the same vision of quality and wishes to continue this process of striving for excellence! At ease with the language of Shakespeare, he travels the world with an approach that aims to share his passion for great Burgundy wines all over the world! Vines grown in biodynamic conditions, vinification using slow and natural methods, wines aged on the lees for 18 months, 12 of which in oak barrels, a constant and rigorous quality of work, give the Pousse d'Or wines a great predisposition to ageing.

The Domaine de La Pousse d'Or is distinguished by its 7 Grands Crus, 11 Premier Crus including 3 monopoles, in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Offering the purest expression of our exceptional terrois has been the Domaine's obsession for centuries. Today, our biodynamic work in the vines, the long and gentle controlled vinification, accompanied by maturing on the lees, contribute to respecting the exceptional balance and richness of the unique Pinot Noir grape varieties for the red wines and Chardonnay for the white wines, worked by the women and men of Domaine de la Pousse d'Or. The plots, representing approximately 17 hectares of vineyards, are located in the villages of Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Flagey-Achézeaux, Aloxe-Corton, Pommard, Volnay, Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay.

The La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru 'Clos de La Bousse d'Or' (Monopole) comes from the exclusive Premier Cru vineyard 'Clos de La Bousse d'Or', a monopole that is fully owned by the estate. The vineyard is located in the heart of Volnay, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. on a soil of chalky clay soils that contribute to the finesse and minerality of the wine.
This 100% Pinot Noir is ruby red in the glass with aromas of black cherries, dark chocolate, warm leather and minerals on the nose. In the mouth we taste fine-grained tannins with juicy notes of red fruit, wild flowers and minerals and ending with a long and elegant aftertaste with a persistent freshness.
