In the 1960s, Giuseppe Inama, the founder of this renowned wine estate, started buying small plots of vineyards in the heart of 'Soave Classico'. The area was originally planted with the ancient "Graecanicum" (originating from Greece) variety. This name was then converted to "Garganega" in the local dialect. His idea was to collect only top quality vineyards from old Garganega vine, and turn them into a wine capable of restoring Soave's reputation. Today Inama counts as a reference for both white and red wines in Soave.

The Oratorio di San Lorenzo produces the ORATORIO di SAN LORENZO Carmenere Riserva DOC Colli Berici. This wine is seen as one of the very best Carmenere but is also a wine with a solid price. The very beautiful CARMINIUM Carmenere DOC Colli Berici has been produced from the same vineyard but from younger vines for a few years now. So this wine also comes from DOC Colli Berici which is considered one of the best areas for the Carmanere in the world, especially thanks to its special volcanic subsoil and micro climate and this gives an exceptional expression to the Carmanere grape. The area of the Oratorio di San Lorenzo is a small valley surrounded by unspoilt nature, a mystical place where monks used to live

After the manual picking and de-stemming of the grapes, the maceration and fermentation takes place for about 12 days. The wine is aged for about 12 months in 20% new and 80% used barriques and is then bottle-aged for some time. The Inama Carminium has a vibrant ruby red color with few shades. The wine has an intense nose, with herbs and spices, black fruit, soft and balanced tannins. The wine can very well be summarized as Charming and Complex. Nothing really too much and nicely balanced, a perfect wine with grilled meat, roast pork, meats and cheese board

Wijnhuis

Wine house Inama is located near the northern Italian city of Verona. The Inama family has been producing wines for more than 40 years and is the only activity that focuses entirely on them. Wijnhuis Inama is now run by Stefano and Guiseppe Inama, the 3rd generation, with the vision: producing various wines in which, despite the styles and trends of the moment, they mainly want to make wines where their vision of the beautiful country is sufficiently represented. . Therefore, an organic agricultural system is used because it produces better fruit. Wijnhuis Inama follows its own course and has therefore developed its own know-how, without consulting all kinds of experts and wine gurus. They believe in wine that generates emotions and therefore prefer to taste "blind".
