Description
With the desire to create a range of complex, sophisticated and above all delicious non-alcoholic drinks, Abstinence has taken inspiration from the Cape Fynbos Floral Kingdom. This is a biodiverse region in the Western Cape of South Africa. Although it may be the smallest biological kingdom, it is one of the most diverse in the world. The Western Cape is also one of the world's largest exporters of citrus fruits, so in their Cape Citrus edition, Abstinence has drawn on the diverse bounty of both the floral kingdom and distinct citrus flavours. The flavors come entirely from the botanical ingredients and contain no added sugars, sweeteners or flavors. Everything is natural, and from the Cape.
. With a lingering mouthfeel and a slight burn in the aftertaste, the taste is slightly sweet with notes of honey, caramel and roasted wood. Drink on its own with ice or, for example, mixed with Soda or Ginger Ale.
Inspired by the forest fires in the Western Cape that bring the floral kingdom to life, the Abstinence Epilogue is bursting with smoky and warm herbal flavours. Paying tribute to the classic, smooth American Bourbon Malt, the Abstinence Epilogue This dark drink is amber in color and goes well with soda, ice cream, ginger ale or cola in a glass over ice. Also great for an old fashioned Manhattan. This is an alcohol-free whiskey alternative. With vanilla and smoked peat on the nose, the Epilogue Sweet notes of Honeybush and toasted American oak go beautifully with subtle spices on the palate and end with a light burn in the aftertaste.
NO SUGAR. NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS. NO COLORANTS.
Awards:
IWSC 95/100 (Gold)
Botanicals:
Peated and Blended Malts, Oak, Honeybush, Vanilla, Cassia, American Oak
There is a rising demand for non-alcoholic drinks. About 15% of the Dutch population does not drink alcohol and a much larger group would like to cut down. Younger, but also older consumers strive for a healthy lifestyle; conscious living and conscious consumption. Consumers like to combine the useful with the pleasant. The increasing number of eating and drinking moments means that more people prefer to drink alcohol-free from time to time.
