Description
This Petit Chablis from Domaine du Colombier is exactly what you want from a Petit Chablis, it has wonderful notes of lemon peel and white flowers on the nose, followed by a pronounced sharpness and minerality on the palate. Petit Chablis is the perfect gateway to the world of Chablis, always made with 100% Chardonnay and fermented in a stainless steel tank - keeping the wine fresh. Typical Chablis, but petit, and therefore more affordable! Win win. Delicious with fish dishes, such as baked salmon or cod, with or without a lemon butter sauce.
Domaine du Colombier is located directly behind the grand crus of Chablis in the small village of Fontenay-Près-Chablis. Domaine du Colombier has remained in the family for many generations, dating back to 1887. The rich history of winemaking can be seen in the bottle today. The 55 hectares of Domaine du Colombier are planted exclusively with Chardonnay vines and are an extension of the 4 appellations of origin authorized in Chablis. Today, Guy Mothe's three sons, Jean-Louis, Thierry and Vincent, head the operation, using traditional winemaking techniques, with the help of modern technology. A classic example of Chablis.
