It is becoming a trend: Viticulture in the Netherlands and with climate change it is expected that the Netherlands may eventually become an important producer. We have a beautiful Dutch winery in our range, namely Wijngaard de Bilderhof from Holland's oldest city, Dordrecht. The winemaker Wilco Venhuizen has a beautiful vineyard and, unlike many Dutch hobbyists, has chosen to select grapes that do particularly well in our climate, such as the Dornfelder, the Rondo, the Cabernet Cortis and the Johnanniter. These grapes thrive in our climate and produce very unique white and red wines.

The “Dutch” Riesling with remarkably sweet grapes and a fresh acidity. The grapes are ripe around mid-October. The Johanniter is used as the basis for the Cuvée Wit (gold medal at the Dutch Wine Inspection) and for this standard white wine (silver medal in Germany). The wine is surprisingly fresh and dry and has similarities with a Riezling white wine but more round and full and this Johanitter is pleasantly dry.

The logo on the labels refers to the time of the past and shows Dordrecht from the river. The image on the label is a painting made by Albert Cuijp. Named: View of Dordrecht.
