Description
In the nose beautiful notes of Black fruit, plums, leather, vanilla, complex and broad. In the mouth, this Nobile has a firm start with black fruit, vanilla, concentration, with some tannins. This Montepulciano is a wonderful elegance and freshness, juicy and fresh, beautiful cherry fruit, fine acidity and some tannins after, wonderfully broad, soft final. A beautiful wine which is a super companion of game, red meat or with some firm tasting cheese.
Frederico Carletti, the current owner of Azienda Agricola Poliziano, is responsible for a revolutionary change. Carletti has turned Poliziano into a real wine-producing company, producing and bottling its wines itself. He left for Piedmont to study oenology at university. He then completed internships at various wine producers in order to gain the necessary practical experience. Then it was time to realize his childhood dream. Since taking office in 1981, the company's star has risen rapidly.
Among the innovations he introduced were the planting of new grapes such as cabernet sauvignon, as well as the creation of new wines, such as Le Stanze, Elegia and a Riserva of separate vineyards, such as the Vigna Asinone. With these showpieces, Carletti has conquered the hearts of wine lovers and won numerous prizes at international competitions. Poliziano is now widely regarded as one of the great pioneers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

The 2017 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano offers ripe cherry and blackberry fruit with a long and fleshed out mouthfeel. Poliziano is a detailed-minded estate that is one of the founding fathers of modern Vino Nobile. This forward-looking producer has produced a versatile wine from a hot vintage to pair with pasta or easy meat dishes.
