2020 Château Pichon Comtesse de Lalande Resèrve de la Comtesse

This 2018 2nd Grand Cru Classe Pauillac Rerserve de la Comtesse was made by Chateau Pichon-Longueville Comtesse. The winery was taken over by champagne winery Louis Roederer in 2007. This beautiful Pauillac is a blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon , 47% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot . The wine has a very refined and pure bouquet of black cherry, cedar and violet aromas and is perfumed and sensual. Medium-bodied on the palate with supple, rounded tannins enveloped by layers of tobacco-tinged black fruit that transitions into a long, lightly spiced and also soft finish. The taste is medium to full, the taste is packed with juicy black fruit and many earth / mineral nuances, and ends with a wonderful freshness and a quiet intensity. Very impressive.
