Chateau Laroque is one of the most spectacular castles of St. Emilion, surrounded by a vineyard of 61ha, 27ha is used for this Grand Cru Classé. The cru belongs to the Beaumartin family and since 2015 the management and vinification has been done by David Suivre, who also does the vinification on Ch. Larcis Ducasse. In 1996, the cru was promoted to Grand Cru Classé.

The 2020 Laroque is a blend of 99% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, aged for about 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new French oak. In the glass, the Laroque St Emillion has a deep purple-black color and slowly unfolds in the glass to reveal fantastically lush notes of Asian spices, roses, dark chocolate and liquorice, over a core of blueberries, stewed plums and mulberries, plus a touch of dried mint. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied and the palate is packed with layers of black and blue fruit, accentuated by exotic spices and supported by a spicy backbone and velvety tannins, with a long and perfumed finish.
