Description
Since the takeover in 1995 by the Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma, chateau Giscours is back with its fantastic terroir. The domain measures over 80 hectares of vineyard and produces a very reliable but above all classic Margaux with a lot of depth. The Sirene de Giscours is the 2nd wine and is a very interesting alternative to the first wine. The style is sweet and soft, usually with notes of tobacco and cedar on the nose. The 2020 La Sirene de Giscours is smooth but intense on the palate with aromas of creamy berries, cherries, plums and spices. On the palate it is a medium to full-bodied wine with rich and fleshy flavors with fine depth at the core, lively acidity and a long, penetrating finish. It consists of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon supplemented with Merlot 5%, Cabernet Franc 15%, Petit Verdot 5%
70% Cabernet Sauvignon - 15% Cabernet Franc – 10% Merlot - 5% Petit Verdot
FACT: In the Tab: Appendix you will find the official fact sheet of this fine wine. We will automatically send it to you when you order this wine. The wine is in our conditioned Wine Warehouse and if you come to pick up the wine you will also receive a nice discount.
TIP: there is now also a 3rd wine. The Haut Medoc de Giscours - highly recommended especially in terms of price / quality.

From: Bordeaux 2020: Saving the Best for Last (Feb 2023)
The 2020 La Sirene de Giscours is a gorgeous second wine. Bright and deep, with tons of drive the 2020 is seriously impressive. Dark cherry, dried herbs, menthol, licorice and dark spice build effortlessly, driven by bright acids and tons of nervous energy. The balance here is simply impeccable.
