Absolute top white wine. A blend of sauvignon, chardonnay, malvasia, Istriana and Picolit. Simply unique. Is now ready to drink and can be kept until 2028+. The Vintage Tunina from Jermann, is also called the Tignanello of the white wines. It is one of the first to open the door for the new-style white wines from Friuli. In the new-style wines, a mix of grape varieties is used to create beautiful blends.

One of the top producers from Friuli and one of the most famous makers of Italian white is undoubtedly Silvio Jermann. The Jermann family estate is located in the far northeast of Italy in the hilly region of Friuli, near the Slovenian border, in the DOC Collio, and dates back to 1881. Since Silvio, the third generation, took over in 1975, a huge upheaval has taken place. By continuously investing and making optimum use of the sandy and marl soil so suitable for the white grape varieties, he expressed his urge for innovation, with fantastic results. As a result, he grew into a global phenomenon. Elegance, depth, richness, structure and minerality characterize his wines, which are served in many star restaurants worldwide.

The grapes of the Tunina come from one of the best vineyards of Jermann. The color of this wine is straw-yellow gold, the aroma intense, full, with hints of honey and wild flowers. The taste is full and round, velvety soft with a nice long aftertaste. For this special combination of grapes, the harvest takes place about two weeks later than the normal harvest. The name Tunina refers to the previous owner of the land on which the vineyard is located and is also dedicated to a governess from Venice, mistress of Cassanova, who was called Tunina, the diminutive of Antonia, as her real name was.

Suckling ends his review with: "Drink now, but this will develop beautifully in bottle. time to show the complexity and allure. One of the great whites of Italy, as always. Try after 2023"
